Volunteering
Whether its officiating a basketball game (not one bad call in the last 40 years) or his passion for helping organizations like the Special Olympics, Ed has devoted his life to others in his spare time.

Charlie Brown Christmas Tree
Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
Ed has been lighting his Charlie Brown Christmas tree overlooking highway 102, on the back of his property, since 2001. It serves as a warm beacon to many travellers around the Christmas season.
" It wouldn't be Christmas without seeing Ed's tree on the Bi-Hi (102)"
After the tragedy on April 18/19, 2020 in Nova Scotia, Ed and his neighbours decided to put a Nova Scotia flag and a huge illuminated red heart (named Valery) in place of the Charlie tree. It was a symbol that showed all Nova Scotians were united and strong for those affected.
